- food allergies or anything that would be important for someone to know. Lets say your standing in an elevator and bam someone falls to the floor if someone had a heart complication it's important for someone to know these things so they can tell the dispatcher when they call 911.
- I have Addison's disease and wear one. Sometimes, I get sick from over doing, heat, or stress because I don't have the adrenaline rush I need to get through the stressful situation. I start getting incoherent, so I have to wear the medical alert bracelet so someone knows that I need to see a Dr. immediately It has Addison's disease on it, what medicine I need. I want to have "see cell phone" engraved on it too, so they can call my family, my Dr. etc. There are lots of health problems that people need to wear the bracelets for...ashtma, thyroid, allergies, etc. If they were in an accident and no one that knew their problems were with them, they might not get the treatment they need and could die. I never take my Medic Alert bracelet off. It is stainless steel on a chain.
- Another specific condition would be any type of heart problem, for instance Mitral Valve Prolapse for which you need antibiotics administered if any operation is preformed. Pretty much you wear them to let Paramedics know any kind of condition that needs special attention, in case you are unconscious.
