Is a voter ID card an acceptable form of identification at the polls?

I know that first-time voters need to present some form of ID at the polls. Is the voter ID card acceptable?

1. You need to call and see what is acceptable at your precinct.
2. In my location, they require a photographic ID issued by the federal or state government. A driver's license is the most popular. If you don't drive, you can get a state ID from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
3. Varies state to state, Florida needs photo ID.
4. In my state, Indiana, you'll need a Driver's license, state ID, or Learner's permit. In Indiana, State Identification is free the first time.
