- um... metal duh?
- I guess Brass would be the most long lasting of materials. I don't use plastic tags.
- stainless steel its what kitchen silverware is made of forks- etc... last long time... but my cat didnt like noise on collar from it hitting other metal...so i just used permanent marker & wrote name & phone # on inside...but you can get embrordered ones at vet- for outside of collar..
- Metal or alumminum would be da best most likely metal though
- I think stainless steel is probably the best as it's used for things such as cutlery and pans which are designed to be in contact with water a lot without rusting.
- plastic it wont get in its way or hurt it
- Have a microchip ID implanted in your cat - that way the ID tag will be internal where it can't be lost.
- probably stainless hold up better
