Ohio state identification card and Out of state driver licence?

I was travelling to OH for employment purpose , in order to prove residency i have applied for state id and got the same. Now i am planning to move to OH itself. My State id is expired. Can i surrender my current driver licence and get the OH one ? Please advice do i need to surrender the ohio state card (which is already expired)

1. Yes, you should be able to go to Ohio's version of the Department of Motor Vehicles and surrender your current license to them and be granted reciprocity and be given an Ohio driver's license. I think the only State or Territory that doesn't immediately grant reciprocity is the District of Columbia, and that's due to the large amount of traffic circles in that area.
